After the first aperitifs, Sapphire unveils in detail the new Radeon graphics cards of the Nitro series with numerous images. There are also Radeon RX 6800 (XT) from the Pulse series. The USB-C connection is only provided by the Special Edition.
Sapphire RX 6800 (XT) Nitro +
Sapphire is designing three different models for the Nitro + series, which apparently use the same cooler. In the 2.7 slot design with three axial fans, the graphics cards are approximately 31 centimeters long, with the actual circuit board much shorter. Power is supplied via two 8-pin sockets.
The flagship Radeon RX 6800 XT Nitro + SE (Special Edition) is the only model in the series to offer a USB-C port and RGB-LED lighting effects on transparent design fans. Additional connections are once HDMI and twice DisplayPort. Sapphire hasn’t disclosed clock rates for any models yet, but these are likely to be the highest for the SE variant.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT Nitro + without the SE suffix and the RX 6800 Nitro + with a smaller GPU appear a bit simpler with black fans without RGB and offer an additional DisplayPort instead of USB-C. Sapphire mentions slightly different sizes for the RX 6800 Nitro +, but that can also be due to typos – both look identical in terms of looks. Controllable RGB (ARGB) lighting is limited to the logos on the edge and backplate of graphics cards.
Sapphire RX 6800 (XT) Pulse
In the Pulse series, more black than silver is used in a similar size with three fans. There are apparently no controllable RGB lighting effects, but the information so far doesn’t reveal if any of the logos are still on.

The RX 6800 XT Pulse is also around 31 centimeters long and takes up 2.7 slots, while the RX 6800 is said to be a bit shorter and narrower and only has 2.5 slots. The connections are identical with one HDMI, three DisplayPort and two 8-pin in both cases. Again, Sapphire leaves clock rates open for GPU and memory. Lower power recommendations compared to nitro models already indicate Sapphire is sending Pulse models to the race with lower clock rates.
On November 18, AMD plans to officially launch the Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6800 XT in the reference design, and the first tests are therefore expected. Partner cards, as announced by Asus, MSI and PowerColor in addition to Sapphire, are expected to arrive a little later.
