South Korea-based tech company Samsung brings “artificial people” to smartphones.
According to GizmoChina news, “virtual human” NEON may be available on Galaxy devices next month.
The sharing of Pranav Mistry, CEO of STAR Labs, which is owned by Samsung and is responsible for this project, reinforces this claim.
Mistry announced on Twitter that she uses NEON on her smartphone, and the company is currently testing its man-made humans on smartphones.
The “artificial man” project that STAR Labs has been working on for some time was presented at NEON CES 2020. Being a digital avatar, NEON can interact with users as intelligent assistants.
It is claimed that these characters, which house advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning infrastructures, can converse with real people and these “artificial people” can react within milliseconds.
It is also stated that in the future NEONs will be able to offer digital services as teachers, financial advisors or health professionals.
Having machine learning capabilities, NEON develops further as it interacts with users and the pool of information it hosts, as it were, expands.
