Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 lose wireless charging after update

[ad_1]

After the update made available at the end of October, many Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 users started experiencing serious problems with wireless charging of their smartphones.

According to various publications on the manufacturer’s social media and official forums, wireless charging has stopped working on third-party chargers. Interestingly, there appears to be no problem when using Samsung’s official wireless charger.

As the SamMobile website progresses, wireless charging becomes completely unusable, as it constantly loses its connection. In addition to not being able to charge smartphones, it could also end up causing irreversible damage to the hardware.

How to fix Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 problem

We are still awaiting official statements from Samsung regarding this particular issue, and there is no official fix yet.

However, a user on the XDA developer forum seems to have found an unofficial solution.

If your Samsung Galaxy S20 or Galaxy Note 20 has these problems with wireless charging, try disabling NFC. Apparently, if you try to use wireless charging with NFC turned off, the connection between your smartphone and the charger will stabilize again.

Unfortunately, while this fix may work temporarily, we still have no idea what is causing the problem. This is a strange situation, especially since it does not affect Samsung’s official charger.

High-end smartphones are far from the most popular

Although the flagship models are the ones that offer the most advanced specifications today, they are far from being the most sought after by fans of the brand.

Samsung Galaxy A51

After it was confirmed that Galaxy Note 20 sales were much lower than expected, it was revealed that the Galaxy A line smartphones were among the best sellers in 2020.

We have long been talking about the great evolution presented by the Galaxy A family, which offers more and more value for users’ money.

So unless you feel like you really need to spend a fortune on a high-end smartphone, you should consider some of the South Korean giant’s most popular mid-range smartphones.
