Samsung’s Galaxy Note line is primarily known for carrying the best smartphones built by the South Korean brand. In this range we find excellent machines, such as the Galaxy Note 20, considered a near-perfect phone.

But the future of these devices seems uncertain and several rumors, particularly from credible sources, believe that Samsung will discontinue the Galaxy Note series as early as 2021.

Galaxy Note smartphones may be discontinued in 2021

Despite being considered one of the best Samsung smartphones, it is possible that the life of the Galaxy Note has its days numbered. Several credible sources believe that the South Korean brand will "kill" this line as early as next year and that the Galaxy Note 20 was therefore the latest equipment launched in this series.

According to Reuters, Samsung is preparing to suspend Note in 2021. This decision is believed to be related to the sharp drop in sales of high-end smartphones due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agency cites three sources indicating that Samsung has no plans to develop a new Galaxy Note phone next year. On the other hand, the manufacturer will add support for the S Pen to the upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Other sources believe that the attention that Samsung would have paid to the development of a new Galaxy Note, is now directed to the fold line. The brand's next foldable smartphone is rumored to be the Galaxy Z Fold3, with support for the S Pen. However, there are indications that the pen will be sold separately, not being integrated with the phone.

If the suspicion that Note will be discontinued is confirmed, this will surely be sad and disappointing news for thousands of fans of the brand around the world. Especially for those who love the Galaxy Note line.
