The team was formed following a contest held on the Samsung Romania Youtube channel, between 5 October and 2 November 2020, as part of the PlayOn with Samsung program.
The main selection criteria for team members were the originality of the recorded videos, the way streamers performed in their favorite games, and the interaction with their community.

More than 80 girls who signed up met the eligibility conditions and entered the evaluation process, which included game content creators Antonia Nuckle and Maximilian Ioan.
The five members of the GRLpower team are Antonia Nuckle, Alecsandra Beatrice, Roberta AmR, MeowmyTTV and Reddysh. They are known for great gaming skills in a variety of popular titles, from shooter games to MOBAs.
The first full-length appearance of the Samsung GRLpower team will take place on Saturday, November 21, during the Bucharest Gaming Week event, at the Samsung virtual booth, where they will provide fans with details about their experience and give a team play demonstration.
