The point obtained at the “Ilie Oana” stadium helped our youth team to rank among the top 5 best teams ranked 2nd in the qualifying groups. These 5 teams, together with the hosts Hungary and Slovenia and the 9 group winners, make up the picture for next year’s finals.
EURO 2021, played in two phases
The unique detail of next year’s tournament finals is that matches will take place over two periods. The group stage will take place between 24 and 31 March 2021 and the elimination rounds will take place only two months later., between May 31 and June 6!
The 16 qualified teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4, according to their coefficient (calculated on the basis of the results of these preliminaries and the two previous final tournaments). The hosts Hungary and Slovenia will be in the first ballot box, and the other 14 teams will be placed in the ballot box according to the coefficient.
The draw for the groups will take place on 10 December 2020 in Nyon, Switzerland.
