While Bitcoin, along with most of the cryptocurrencies, has declined significantly, Ripple has continued to grow stronger and has gained value against Bitcoin.
Ripple took second place from Ethereum in the cap market leaders, and currently the two currencies are almost 4 billion dollars, which are around 23% from one another. Does Ripple aim to replace long-term Bitcoin as the most important cryptocurrency? Cryptographers all over the world have had to face this question.
The XRP bulls arrive
In addition to price increases, Ripple has had a number of positive events in recent weeks, including new partnerships and trading platforms, as well as greater adoption for cryptocurrency. Nowadays, the social media of the crypto community are crowded with people who are bullish on Ripple, even to overcome Bitcoin.
"One of these is $ BTC, and the other is $ XRP. Same time period, same time," @Simon_Rees underline on Twitter the difference between Ripple and Bitcoin charts.

"While everyone focused on $ BTC, I went to get $ XRP .That's where my focus will remain", the businessman David Gokhshtein tweeted.
"$ XRP preceded Ethereum in market capitalization, an advantage that has grown to over $ 2 billion (now almost 4). From xRapid's interoperability to a new partnership with one of Asia's largest banks, the pump follows a week of non-stop news on #Ripple and XRP, "Twitter user @PhillipNunnUK he has declared.
There are also critics
Not everyone is optimistic about XRP. Despite the second degree of cryptocurrency among all currencies, Ripple has received criticism for being centralized and governed by large banks, which is the opposite of the purpose of cryptocurrencies.
"$ XRP will never replace $ BTC because it does not offer the same value proposition, it's good for what it is (cheaper and faster SWIFT) and congratulations to all those who have made money, but they are not decentralized money without permission without bosses ", Rocky or @CryptoHustle he has declared.

The others were not as friendly as Rocky: "If you sincerely believe that $ XRP will turn $ BTC you may want to get an MRI scan," Zissou tweeted.
"The higher $ XRP goes up, the more I am sure that it will happen $ BTC in 2019. Very obvious will be our new cryptographic standard, difficult to accept for many, but so was Bitcoin in 2010," Bitlord user tweeted sarcastic. "Ripple actually combines the best (and worst) of both worlds: Decentralization + Crypto and banking = unstoppable."
The highest $ XRP more salt I'm sure it will flip $ BTC in 2019.
Our new cryptographic standard will be very obvious.
Difficult to accept for many but so was the bitcoin in 2010

Bitcoin developer SV Craig Wright even called Ripple "the biggest scam in space".
"I do not see the time when this proposal of fiction has been revoked. This idea of issuing unregistered securities and selling to the noobs who want to get rich without working is not new, nor will it be the take-down," tweeted.
XRP is the biggest scam in space. I look forward to this false offer being revoked. This idea of issuing unregistered securities and selling to noobs who want to get rich without working is not new and will not even take-down.

From now on, it seems apocalyptic to see Ripple launch bitcoins, but the encrypted world is very unpredictable. One thing to keep in mind: the current capitalization of Bitcoin is 4.5 times higher than Ripple.
