MIUI 12 is the latest version of Xiaomi’s Android skin. The Chinese manufacturer introduced it in late April and has since updated its devices to the latest version of its mobile operating system. The Redmi Note 9S is the latest device to get this update worldwide.
The release of the MIUI 12 update is happening globally on a staggered basis for a large number of devices. Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 9S, despite being a smartphone announced in March 2020, has only started receiving the update now. Anyway, better late than never. For the uninitiated, this phone is sold as Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. This particular version of the device has already started receiving the MIUI 12 update in September. But the other variants of the smartphone, namely Global, Europe, Turkey and Russia, started receiving the update recently.
The update for the Global and Europe versions of Redmi Note 9S is still in a stable beta phase. This means that the final stable build may change for these variants depending on the stability of the build. On the other hand, Xiaomi is sowing the final stable version for the remaining three versions.
