A Xiaomi announced a few days ago the new Redmi Note 9 5G, OR Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 9 4Gand a new smartwatch. When we might think that these are existing phones but with support for 5G networks, the truth is that none of these devices can compare to those already launched in global markets. While 5G in the name is a strong hint of differences, the Chinese devices also offer other interesting specs. For example, we have a 120Hz screen, a 108MP camera in the higher version. For now, we still have no information on whether these devices will pave the way for global markets, so we have to wait for new information.
What we do know is that a new Redmi smartphone with the model number M2010J19SG appeared in the IMDA certification. For comparison, the model number is very close to the model number of the Redmi Note 9 4G, as it has the model number M2010J19SC. While the certification does not bear the device’s trade name, it is rumored that it could launch under the name Redmi Note 10 4G in global markets.
Obviously the release date of this new Redmi smartphone still remains a mystery. It is important to note that the recently launched POCO M3 also has a very similar model number. Both the Note 9 4G and M3 have very close specs, but they have a different design. Therefore, the dog would be surprised to see two devices, Redmi Note 10 and POCO M3 sold in international markets with the same set of specifications.
Will Redmi Note 9 4G be released as Redmi Note 10 4G in global markets?
Taking into account everything that the Redmi Note 9 4G offers, we can get an idea of what a possible, renamed, Redmi Note 10 4G will bring. First, we have a 6.53-inch Full HD + screen with a waterdrop design. Inside, the phone can hold the Snapdragon 662, with an octa-core processor with its Adreno 610 GPU. We expect variants with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The POCO M3 does not have a variant with 6 GB of RAM.
The phone comes with a 6,000mAh battery, just like the POCO M3 and Redmi Note 9 4G. It will charge via a USB-C port with 22.5W fast charging support. The camera setup can consist of an 8MP front sensor and a triple camera located in the rear. It will have a 48MP primary sensor accompanied by two 2MP sensors. The device can be shipped with MIUI 12, which is based on Andorid 10.
