AMD model introduces hardware accelerated for RT and doubles the performance of a 5700 XT!
However AMD has come with a model to challenge the top of the graphics performance! The Radeon RX 6000 line introduces the new RDNA 2 microarchitecture and brings impressive leaps both in terms of performance and efficiency, and in this gameplay we will test the capabilities of the top of the range, the Radeon RX 6800 XT! You can also check out our full review of this model at this link here.
In this test we will focus on games in 4K and we will also analyze several titles with support for Ray Tracing. Although rival Nvidia came out first, the implementation of RT in Windows games is mostly based on DirectcX 12’s DXR, something that Radeon has also implemented in RDNA 2. So we’ll test games like Control, Fortnite and Watchdogs Legion to “check” how this AMD hardware accelerated technology works.
Test bench:
– AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (Smart Acess Memory enable)
– Aorus X570 Master
– 2×8 GB G.SKIILL CL14 DDR4 at 3200 MHz
– Reference model AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
– Coolermaster v850 font
