Every year the prestigious and veteran American magazine Time chooses the best inventions of the year and, despite the difficulties inherent in 2020, it was no exception. For us, that is the world of video games, there are several items in the list of 100 that the publication writes, highlighting the presence of two new consoles like PS5 Y Xbox Series Sand, surprisingly, the absence of Microsoft’s “premium” model, Xbox Series X.
Presence of hardware and software in the list
As for the Sony console, Time says that PS5’s “small advances” all combine to create a “game-changing experience” for gamers, even receiving a mention. Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the DualSense.
“PlayStation 5 is the largest console ever made, and Sony needed room to handle the visual spectacle of Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” the paper reads. “Games load almost instantly, the processor is nearly 10 times faster than the PS4’s, and the new controller features touch sensors that add a whole new dimension to the game.”
Meanwhile, as we said before, the surprise comes from the hand of Xbox Series S, which makes its appearance on the list at the expense of its superior model, Xbox Series X. “The new console of the technological giant is more than just a new generation device : it is the basis that could be considered the Netflix of video games, “they say from the magazine. “The secret weapon of the S series is Game Pass – a subscription service where new hits like Halo: Infinite will arrive on the same day as launch. Plus, in the absence of a hard drive, the S series runs almost silently.”
But not the only entries in the video game list. The Nvidia subscription service is also displayed, Geforce Nowand the only video game that is among these 100 inventions: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Among them the elusive factor that has assumed during this year in which the whole world has been hit by the global pandemic of coronavirus.
