The ripple price (XRP / USD) falls after the fall on Wednesday afternoon

The price of Ripple (XRP / USD) has seen some significant losses in the last 24 hours, reflecting a trend observed through the wider market of digital currencies

The third largest digital currency on the market yesterday had a difficult session, despite a good start. The price of Ripple reached an intraday peak of $ 0.350 in the early hours of the session, mirroring a similar movement in the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptographic coins. However, that remained the only piece of positive price action for the currency, since at the end of the session he had renounced all his first gains. Ripple's performance was a significant success in the afternoon, with the price plummeting to an intraday low of $ 0.316, according to data from the Coinmarketcap digital tracker. The coin eventually ended the session at $ 0.319, down from its initial level of $ 0.334.

Ripple has made a couple of attempts to recover Wednesday's losses in today's trading, but so far it has not been very successful. The currency reached an intraday high of $ 0.326 in the morning, but has not been able to continue the rally since. Its progress may have been hampered by low market activity. Recent market data shows that around $ 252 million of XRP tokens have changed in the last 24 hours. This is less than the $ 286 million trading volume generated by Wednesday's global cryptocurrency trade.

The Japanese encryption exchange Bitbank is currently the most popular destination for XRP trading, as it has captured the largest share of the current volume of 24 hours – 15.6%.

In today's trading, Ripple's price stood at $ 0.322, at 15:41 BST. The digital currency has lost 4.7% of its value in the last 24 hours, shows Coinmarketcap data.
