Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has confirmed that its next generation console, the PlayStation 5, it will not be sold in physical stores during launch day, so users can only purchase it through online stores’.

“There will be no units available in stores for purchase on launch day,” Sony warned on the PlayStation blog, where it reported that this measure is aimed at “keep players, dealers and staff safe“in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

PlayStation 5 will be launched November 12 in seven countries of the world: United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. To the rest of the world, including Spain, will arrive on November 19th. In its main version with a disc player, it will have an introductory price of 499.99 euros, and of 399.99 euros for its digital only version.
