Google has added a new feature to its messaging app, Google Messages, which allows users to do this schedule the sending of text messages (SMS) at specified times and days.
This feature allows you to automatically send SMS messages at the time or day chosen by users and not immediately. They can choose between three fixed times, for example: “Later today, 6pm”, “Later tonight, 9pm” or “Tomorrow, 8am” or manually select the desired date and time, according to the XDA Developers portal.
After sending a scheduled message, the feature also allows users to do so change the text as well as the date and time they want it sent to. They can also delete the scheduled message or send it immediately.
To use this new feature, users must press and hold the enter button and the option to program the message will be displayed. Once sent, it will appear in the chat ‘Timed message “next to a clock icon.
So far, this new SMS scheduling feature isn’t available to all Google Messages users, although the company has already started its distribution and is expected to reach more people in the coming weeks.
