The e-mail service Gmail added a file home screen widget on the iOS operating system which allows users to compose and search for an email, as well as access their inbox.
Gmail already had a widget in its application for devices running Android and has now added one for iOS, offering direct access to various functions of the “app”.
In this sense, iPhone users can directly access functions such as search for an email, compose a new message and enter your Gmail mailbox.
Unlike the Android widget, the iOS widget does not have the extension scrolling list which allows users to view emails from the tag they have selected.
This difference in usage is due to the technical limitations established by Apple, which added widgets as one of the biggest new features of its latest system version, iOS 14, presented in September.
