Anyone who starts the Viking adventure Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PS4 and Xbox One will start the game with pre-installed English voice output. We can quickly change the subtitles in the settings, but in order to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in German, we must first install a language pack. We will show you how it works.
Then you download the German audio track for AC Valhalla on PS4 and Xbox One
By itself, it’s not a hassle to change a game’s language in settings. In the case of the console versions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, this is also fairly easy, but it does require some patience.
Here’s how to set the language on PS4 and Xbox One: Although the subtitle language can be changed in the settings without much effort, we must first install the German language output.
- To do this, go to “Voice output” in the settings under “Audio”.
- Select your desired German or language.
- A download will now start on the console and you just have to wait for the language pack to download and install.
- If you restart AC Valhalla now, you can also use the newly installed audio language.
On the other hand, the language pack must also be downloaded directly to the PC via Ubisoft Connect (under the properties of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla).
Note: German vocal output is only available with the Day One patch.
In principle, downloading additional language packs holds us back a bit. On the other hand, the installation is only moved to a different moment in time and thus also saves storage space, as we do not have all possible languages pre-installed.
