The struggle here is tough, or at least dirty. Phil Collins (69) and his Swiss ex-wife Orianne Cevey (46) fight in the mud in court. The jewelry designer says half of the Collins Villa in Miami is hers and asks for half of the proceeds from a future sale. Cevey seems to use any means. She recently claimed in court that Collins’ smell was “unbearable” and that the couple had therefore stopped having sex.
The music legend does not want to let him stand on himself. As the court documents according to “TMZ” show, Collins’ attorneys have opposed the charges. These are “a litany of demonstrably false, inconsistent, outrageous, scandalous and bizarre allegations that have nothing to do with the legal claims in this case.”
“You deliberately make up false accusations”
For the singer, it’s clear: With Cevey’s horror stories about living with her ex-husband, she’s pursuing a bad plan. “You deliberately make up false and exaggerated accusations and then blackmail him.” Collins’ legal team also cites an example that his ex-wife’s version would invalidate. He had previously stated that Collins would live as a “hermit” and that he had lost his musical talent due to his addiction to pills. The drummer is currently preparing for a worldwide return tour of his legendary band Genesis.

“What does all this have to do with the case?”, The court documents read. “Does the court really need proof of your sex life, or Phil Collins’ dental bills, or photos of his closet to decide if he really promised you 50 percent of the property?”
Orianne Cevey and Phil Collins married in 1999. The divorce followed in 2006, in which the pop star is said to have paid her a settlement of 41 million francs. The couple, who have two children, got back together in 2016. Ever since Cevey secretly married another man on a trip to Las Vegas in October 2020, Collins has requested that they move out of their shared mansion in Miami. The Swiss woman has since agreed to move, but is demanding in court that 20 million will go to her in a future sale of the property. (klm)
