The 30th edition of the National Theater Festival, which takes place online at www.fnt.ro, on TVR and airs November 22-29, 2020, contains some of the most impressive Romanian shows produced in the last 30 years. Theater critics Ludmila Patlanjoglu, Maria Zărnescu and Călin Ciobotari, who provide the art direction, have put together a rich program of events, presenting a concept based almost exclusively on the retelling of the history of the FNT over the past three decades. The public can see all the productions for free.
The “FneuitareT” section aims to highlight a part of the spectacular Romanian heritage consolidated in recent decades. The legendary shows of the last 30 years such as “Hamlet”, directed by Vlad Mugur, “Uncle Vanea”, directed by Andrei Șerban, “A stormy night”, directed by Mihai Măniuțiu are just some of the titles of the FNT 30 program, and Gábor Tompa , Silviu Purcărete, Radu Afrim, Alexander Hausvater or Cătălina Buzioanu are among the directors who will present their reference shows within FNT.
The “FnelinișteT” section refers to young people whose voice has been heard distinctly and constantly in recent years, and the “art of the great ACTOR” celebrates grace, virtuosity and achievement in the profession, qualities that have proven themselves over time our theater. Marcel Iureș, Marin Moraru, Mariana Mihuț, Gheorghe Dinică, Maia Morgenstern, Zsolt Bogdán, Marius Manole, Olga Tudorache, Victor Rebengiuc or Ion Caramitru and many others are part of the distributions of the shows that you can discover in the FNT 2020 program.
Another section of FNT 2020 is “The Hidden Show” and contains creation testimonies, portraits and self-portraits of important creators, glances launched inside the laboratory. The “Guest Shows” section continues a successful tradition of the National Theater Festival, aiming at opening up to the international artistic discourse. “Words, words, words” proposes a series of theatrical talks and dialogues, mediating the encounter with contemporary theatrical personalities.
