After launching their Oppo Inno Day at the end of last year, the producer is minutes away from the start of the second edition. It is an event dedicated to innovation in the most varied segments, and Oppo has given many proofs over the years to be one of the most innovative manufacturers today.
While its smartphones are still not the most sought after globally, Oppo has been largely responsible for the implementation of many of the recent innovations in the smartphone world by other manufacturers. During the event that will start at 10 am (Portugal), several surprises are expected regarding future technologies that can be implemented on their smartphones.

What to expect from this Oppo event
During last year’s event, we witnessed the demonstration of two new technologies, augmented reality glasses and the prototype of its first smartphone with camera selfie below the screen. As expected, the one that stood out the most was the smartphone prototype, which ended up kicking off the under-screen camera “revolution” that is expected to become much more common in 2021.
Demonstrations of two products are also planned this year. One of them should be a more advanced version of the already known AR (augmented reality) glasses. The second product talks about the possibility of being the prototype of its first smartphone with a sliding screen.
There isn’t much information about this prototype yet, believing it may have some unusual details with the LG Project B, momentarily revealed during the last seconds of the LG Wing event.
While these should be the two highlights of the event, it is possible that the producer has reserved a few more surprises for his fans. The brand has left some clues about the possible launch of a new augmented reality application – CybeReal – but the details are scarce.
Great expectations also for the possibility of presenting a new smartphone during the event, or new technologies that could soon be implemented on their smartphones. This is because, even if the prototype of its first smartphone with sliding screen will be unveiled, it will hardly arrive on the market in 2021.
