American graphics card maker Nvidia is launching a new model in the RTX 30 gaming GPU series. The GeForce RTX 3600 Ti is the first member of the RTX 3600 family, as it is called in a press release. It should be available from December 2, 2020 at the recommended retail price of 399 euros. The cards are offered by third parties and Nvidia itself.
With Ampere, the new graphics card uses the same architecture as the more powerful models in the series. Consequently, it also supports all the features of the series. Nvidia highlights AI DLSS and ray tracing upscaling technology. Features are also integrated to minimize input lag and improve artificial intelligence in audio and video transmissions.
As a performance comparison, Nvidia uses the previous generation GeForce RTX 2080 Super. According to the announcement, this card, which had a suggested retail price of 739 euros at the time of its release, is slower than the 3600 Ti. “We are heading into a great ray-traced Christmas season for Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Watch. For a limited period, an annual subscription to Nvidia’s Geforce Now cloud gaming service is also integrated with the purchase of the new graphics card.
