A few days ago, we reported that Capcom suffered a hacker attack. The company had all of its data encrypted and had to pay the ransom. Apparently, the company refused to pay and now the losses are happening.
As for Capcom, we won’t be reporting everything leaked here, such as images and files. We will limit ourselves to mentioning the projects mentioned in the leak, as well as two slides that show some details (without spoilers) Resident Evil Village and the call Ace Attorney Collection.
The projects in question are:
- Resident Evil Village, whose launch is scheduled for the end of April 2021;
- New IP for Switch with code name “GUILLOTINE”;
- Resident Evil multiplayer, which appears to be a Battle Royale;
- Ace Attorney Collection;
- Monster Hunter Rise and Stories 2 for PC (além do Switch);
- Resident Evil 4 VR (Oculus);
- New multiplayer shooter codenamed “SHIELD”, launched in 2022;
Other information leaked:
- Source code for Devil May Cry 2 and Umbrella Chronicles;
- Sony paid Capcom $ 5 million to get VR mode on RE7, the exclusive DLC temporarily, as well as the demo;
- Google paid $ 10 million for Capcom to bring RE7 and Village to Stadia.
As the two slides below reveal, RE Village perhaps it has dubbing in Brazilian Portuguese, as well as a collector’s edition with a statue of Chris Redfield.
