Google camera mod is downloaded from an XDA thread. Within the thread they give us the possibility to choose 3 ways to get it and we leave it to the consumer’s taste. The only thing we can say is this APKMirror checks all downloads and warns that they are virus-freeso it might be the right choice when downloading Google Camera.
Obviously, the download must be made from the mobile on which we want to install the Google Cam. Once the download starts, we will be asked to activate the installation of files from unknown sources.
Once installed and inserted into the Google camera mod, we see it brings with it the camera interface of the Pixel 5 and also of Pixel 4a 5G.
We can adjust the parameters normally as if it were the normal interface of our camera. From now on, every photo we take will go with Google’s camera software, which guarantees us better results. Here is a camera test in a file OnePlus mobile with Gcam mod installed:
As we can see, it provides the Pixel camera interface, its settings and image processing, i.e. colors more faithful to reality, improved night mode, better implemented blurs, etc.
Google cam is a different app from the camera app that our mobile offers as standard. Then we can choose which camera to use and compare the results from the gallery or from uploading to Google Photos before they remove the unlimited storage.
If we don’t like having two camera apps or don’t like Google’s camera mod directly, we can eliminate it normally since we eliminate any applications.
