In 2016, then-underage hacker Ryan Hernandez gained access to Nintendo servers and stole sensitive information via Nintendo Switch prior to release. FBI investigators then contacted the von Hernandez family, who promised to stop the hacker attacks. But apparently his word did not stop him from committing further crimes.
In 2019, during a house search, investigative authorities found that Hernandez had stolen thousands of private files at the time. Furthermore, pornographic contents of minors in Hernandez’s possession were seized. The defendant confessed to the alleged acts in January this year and has now been sentenced to three years in prison.
