Notice for PS5 users, avoid putting the console into rest mode!

[ad_1]

Rest Mode allows you to put the console to sleep during a match and immediately restart it from where you left off, just like on PS4.

Jeff Gerstmann, an American video game journalist, wrote on Twitter: “It appears that putting a PS5 into sleep mode while running Spider-Man Remastered blocks the entire system, forcing the ‘external drive repair’ process when restart the game. “At least this was the case for me a couple of times today, when I did (no, I put the console in sleep mode).”

Insomniac Games has confirmed that there is definitely a problem if you put PS5 into Rest Mode while playing “Spider-Man: Miles Morales” and the remastered original Spider-Man game.

There are also several reports on Godfall, a game produced by Counterplay Games, which is facing the same problem.

Sony hasn’t released any official comments on this yet, but @AskPlayStation Twitter gives advice to users, so it’s a good idea to give it a try if you’re having trouble.
