Nogaro: a cluster at EHPAD, visits to residents suspended

Ms. Thomas, director of the Nogaro hospital center, wishes to inform the families of the residents of the presence of a Covid-19 cluster within the EHPAD (120 places). Despite a complicated situation, with personnel also positive (the Regional Health Authority reported 49 residents and 14 staff members affected on Tuesday evening), the hospital of Nogaro reassures by renewing “its trust in the nursing staff who manage this difficult period with professionalism and strong mobilization “. Given the situation, it is unfortunately impossible to resume visits to residents, which remain prohibited, the day reception will be closed from Thursday. Families of residents who test positive and symptomatic of Covid-19 are informed of the health status of their parents, directly by the nurses. Phone calls are possible from 2.30 pm through the switchboard, however it is requested to give preference to a single family contact in order not to affect too much the organization of assistance. Skype communications are also organized.

The management thanks all families for their understanding and is committed to doing everything possible to maintain a family bond. As the situation evolves, “the information will be sent by e-mail and / or communicated by the press”.
