No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle occurs three years after Travis achieved his goal of being the number 1 killer in the UAA. However, time has not been kind to him and he found himself dropping the charts at number 51. Adding to his problems is Skelter Helter, another killer who swore revenge on Travis for the death of his brother. With his trusty spoke katanas in hand for double hacking n ‘slash, and joined by his allies Shinobu and Henry Cooldown, Travis is on a mission to regain his No. 1 and remove new opponents. An otaku at heart, however, there’s always time for 8-bit retro mini-games to help you make some money and gain energy!
Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. and Wonderful Inc. and published by XSEED games in North America on the console Nintendo Switch ™, the remastered versions of No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle are available for purchase on Nintendo eShop for $ 19.99 each with a 10% launch discount through November 14th. Both titles have been rated “M” for Mature on Nintendo Switch by the ESRB.
The look of both games remained the same as the originals, I mean the art style. The games were originally released exclusively for the Nintendo Wii for a while and subsequently had their versions on the PlayStation 3 as well, where it underwent some changes in the artistic aspect, which has displeased some players.
No More Heroes 1 and 2 came by surprise that last week during the last Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase of the year. Where on the same day the launch date was also announced No More Heroes 3 which will come exclusively to Nintendo Switch in 2021.
With that we can say that the No More Heroes saga has made Nintendo Switch their home, where until now we have released 3 games and a fourth game arriving in early 2021. (Travis strikes again, No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2, No More Heroes 3).
The game is based on the use of the more traditional controls on the Nintendo Switch, as well as giving you the option and playing with joy with separate and focused on movement. The textures and resolution are much better, which makes the image much clearer than the originals on the Nintendo WII, with 1080p resolution on TV and 720p in portable mode.
For those who do not know the saga, No more heroes or Anti Héroi, it is literally. A game with a more mature and violent imprint, with many sexual overtones and a lot of blood. It is a series that falls into that category of “cult” games, something like Tarantino’s work done for video games. Expect a lot of fun and a really crazy story, as well as of course a map to explore with the character and many collectibles to unlock.
The second game in the series has notable graphical improvements over the first, plus a series of 8-bit minigames that are very fun during the game, there’s even a fight with giant robots, it’s really crazy.
The game’s audio is also very good since its original release on the Nintendo Wii and has been maintained to this day. Unfortunately, the game is not in Portuguese.

Verdict
No More Heroes 1 and 2 remastered on Nintendo Switch is something every fan of the series would like to see and it has come true. Now we can play anywhere, anytime with “full hd” versions of these timeless classic games. Suda 51 became a real star in the world of games by creating No More Heroes and now we have the opportunity to play all the games in the series on the Nintendo Switch. If you’ve never played and are curious about this job because you are a fan of Hack n ‘Slash games, this is a great opportunity, especially with the promotion running until November 16th. If you are a fan of the series and want to play sharper graphics again on current TVs or using the Switch’s portability, this is also the best time, after all, in early 2021 we will have a direct continuation of this masterpiece! No More Heroes is hands down one of my favorite game series in recent years and is superb on the Nintendo Switch.
