Multiple bomb threats were reported via e-mail throughout Canada and the United States, but none of the Saskatchewan areas was reported by the RCMP. There have been reported threats, however, in the police jurisdictions of Saskatoon and Regina.
At 21:00 last night, Division F issued the following statement:
"At this time, the Saskatchewan RCMP has not been informed of any e-mail threats sent to businesses or individuals in its jurisdiction.
"However, threats were made to companies / individuals across the country who demanded payment of a small amount.If members of the public receive one of these e-mail threats, it is advised not to respond to the demand for money in bits. They must also exercise caution, remain vigilant and immediately contact their local police service.
"We will provide updates if the state in our jurisdiction changes."
