No Swedish driver in Levi

Next weekend’s women’s slalom in Levi will take place without the Swedish team due to a crown case. The entire Scandinavian team has been quarantined by the Finnish authorities, a spokesman for the Swedish association said. A team coach had already tested positive for coronavirus upon arrival in Finland. The health department of the ski resort in Lapland therefore decided to isolate all team members.

Golden giant slalom in Reymond

Marco Reymond of Vaud secured his first Swiss championship title among the elites. The 26-year-old team B driver won gold in the Arosa giant slalom. Reymond, son of Erika Hess and ski instructor Jacques Reymond, who passed away in May, won with a 43 cent lead over the nidwalden Semyel Bissig. Toggenburg Josua Mettler and Graubünden Daniele Sette finished third together. Reigning champion Cédric Noger failed to surpass 7th place. Marco Odermatt, Gino Caviezel, Loïc Meillard and Justin Murisier were not at the start.
