Researchers at Tel Aviv University in Israel have developed a genetic system that, according to them, has shown a great ability to eliminate cancer cells within living bodies, paving the way for effective treatment for this deadly disease. .

According to the study, using the new treatment in one session in infected mice doubled their lifespan and also increased survival rates from about 3% to about 30%.

“This is the first study in the world that demonstrates that the CRISPR genomic system can be used to effectively treat cancer in a live animal,” said Professor Dan Beer, who led the study in his laboratory at the University of Tel. Aviv.
