Weslaco, Texas. – To serve new patients, including adult and geriatric patients, UT Health’s RGV Internal Medicine Clinic opens at Knapp Medical Center in the City of Weslaco, with physicians available to care for Du patients. Monday to Thursday afternoon, 1pm to 5pm, at the Knapp Medical Plaza building at 1330 E. 6th Street, Suite 105, adjacent to the north side of the hospital, in Weslaco.
Patients over the age of 18 can be cared for by internal medicine residents as part of Knapp Medical Center’s UTRGV internal medicine residency program, which will be supervised by board-certified internal medicine physicians, including Dr. Timothy Health, director of UTRGV’s internal medicine residency program at Knapp, and Dr. Fatimah Bello, associate director of programs.
Doctors can help patients manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as treat a wide range of internal medicine problems and help heal well-being and fight obesity . Doctors can also provide hospital care if the patient needs to be hospitalized.
The clinic office is open to assist patients with prescription refills, insurance checks, etc. and other needs from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00.
