New content for Iron Harvest later this year

King Art Games announced this week planned multiplayer updates and an upcoming story expansion for the strategy game Iron Harvest. Unfortunately, both topics mainly served as a backdrop for us to talk about previous post-launch support, but let’s try to contextualize the little information for you.

In the new multiplayer mode “Release zone” Supply crates land on the field you need to collect. The opponents (unknown number) must capture the drop points, but in the meantime they must defend themselves so as not to fall into ambushes. Whoever managed to get a certain number of supplies first wins the game. Apparently, this game variant is expected to appear in the next week.

The second announcement was about a small story DLC called “Rusviet Revolution”which, according to Gamestar, will be released on December 17. What exactly are we doing in this mini-campaign and what it is actually about is unclear. Officials refer to the Russian Revolution: “Players experience an alternate story that spans four new single player cards and brings the mysterious Rasputin out of the dark and into the light.. The DLC costs 4 euros if you have not purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition.

From 25 November to 1 December, you can play Iron Harvest again for free. The corresponding demo versions will be available next week on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store. As with previous iterations of this game option, part of the campaign and multiplayer mode are available for free. Our review gives an insight into the real-time strategy game in an alternate calendar.
