MSI confirms OC problems with equal dividers

MSI confirms Ryzen 5000 issues when FCLK needs to operate on 1,600 MHz and synchronously. Some motherboards from the manufacturer are affected, which now ship with beta updates for AGESA Combo-AM4 v2 1.1.0.0 Patch C based BIOS / UEFI. one of the updates for MSI cards.

AMD promises in marketing that a fabric of 2,000 MHz and DDR-4000 is possible on successful models. However, there are no guarantees. As a rule, you shouldn’t expect more than 1,900 MHz.

If you have any problems, you can ask about the MSI forum and receive the appropriate updates (beta!) For affected motherboards. If you have no problems with the OC up to 1900 MHz, you don’t need an upgrade. As mentioned at the beginning, not all motherboards / processors and / or their combinations are affected. And above 1,900 MHz, silicon quality can be the limiting factor.

With Ryzen 3000 processors, Infinity Fabric and RAM (controller) ran at frequencies other than DDR4-3800 at the latest. If this happens, the performance may even decrease again. In any case, such frequencies could only be achieved with selected components: there was never a guarantee for DDR4-3800.
