Zakaria suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in the muscles, a disease that spreads from the muscles to the nerves, and the body loses control of the limbs and senses.
Al-Ahly managed to win the CAF Champions League title for the ninth time in his history at the expense of Zamalek, who was looking to reach the sixth title.
Al-Ahly has qualified for the Club World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next February, and will play the African Super Cup on 10 December, ahead of the Moroccan club Renaissance Berkane, which won the African Confederation Cup title.
