R.Ed Boston Sox has eliminated three of his players from the major league roster, as part of the changes they are making for the 2021 MLB season. The roster is made up of inside José Peraza, outside César Puello and pitcher Dylan Covey. They also reported that Peraza and Puello have chosen to join free will.
José Peraza spent most of his career with the Red Sox on second base. He signed a three million dollar contract last winter. The 26-year-old had complications in his at-bats when he hit 0.225 with a single homerun in 120 plate appearances.
For his part, César Puello didn’t see much action with the Red Sox in 2020, having only 11 base appearances. While Dylan Covey was traded to Boston by the Tampa Rays in July and allowed 11 runs in 14 working innings.
