MIUI 13? There are still months to its launch

In recent days, many colleagues from other sites have been talking about a possible MIUI 13, what will be the next version of the operating system of Xiaomi, which is based on the Android operating system.

The truth is that the Chinese manufacturer remains committed to making MIUI 12 available for equipment already on the market, and the new version is still a mirage and everything that is said about it is mere speculation.

Last October, rumors emerged that Xiaomi could announce MIUI 13 during the Mi Developer Conference (MIDC), which takes place between 5 and 7 November, but of course none of this has been confirmed.
However, a MIUI forum moderator revealed that the new version of the operating system will only arrive on the first devices during the second quarter of 2021, i.e. between April and June 2021.

MIUI 13 only in the second quarter of 2021

Now, if we take into account that the MIUI 12 update was revealed in the first quarter of 2020, then the timeline seems to be back to normal, albeit a bit delayed. Although it was launched almost a year ago, there are still devices that have not yet received the update to Xiaomi’s latest custom interface. Therefore, we can see the update coming around the time the moderator mentioned above, and it hardly will be sooner (at least the stable version).

But it is always good to inform that, although the information was provided by a moderator, these members are generally not particularly close to the internal workings of the company. Therefore, we cannot be sure that the company really has plans to make MIUI 13 available in the second quarter of 2021.
