MIUI 12: the camera update has wiped out smartphones!

Xiaomi recently rolled out a major camera update for its flagship models. I speak in particular of the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro. So this novelty has arrived integrated in the MIUI 12.2.1.0 update based on Android 11 and with it the camera application has received a large number of modes. The problem is that this has seriously compromised the stability of the new smartphones. So much so that on the official support site the installation of MIUI 12.2.1.0 is no longer recommended.

There are, in fact, many problems. Cannot connect to the Internet from a second SIM. Also, the screen stops responding when the smartphone is charging. Another problem is a large energy consumption. But this is not the complete list of problems in MIUI 12.2.1.0. In fact, there are more problems. All this could lead Xiaomi to suspend the firmware distribution.

What this update did:

Version 12.2.1.0 represents a mega-update for the camera application. In fact, we have a lot more options for photos. In addition to what was already normal, we have other options like neon night curtain, moving clouds and flowing water, creative light painting, bright starry sky and romantic star trails. The interface now has specific instructions for different long exposure shooting modes.

Xiaomi has worked a lot on smartphone and software updates. One of the latter is called a “mind map”. That said, the Mind Map feature supports one-click mind map generation.

According to Xiaomi, it’s simple, yet extremely effective, and it’s a very useful reasoning tool. Last month, Xiaomi’s note-taking application added the Graffiti functionality, which is also very interesting.

Meanwhile, another of the highlights that are brewing is about privacy.

Xiaomi wants to change that and as such will launch a new privacy protection feature on MIUI 12. This new feature is in closed beta. However it is known that the new functionality of MIUI 12 will protect user data.
