Mircea Dinescu, confused by Elena Gheorghe at the beginning of the show “Politics and delicacies”

After almost seven years, 12 seasons, over 150 guests and an indefinite number of kilograms of oranges used to prepare the menus, Mircea Dinescu resumes his series of shows with taste and joy. On November 8 a new season begins on TVR 1, the thirteenth of the beloved “Politics and delicacies” program.

In the first edition of the new season, Elena Gheorghe arrives in the kitchen of the poet, a singer whom Dinescu describes as “a blond girl with an adolescent, sunny and serene air”, who infects everyone around her with a feeling of well-being. Ready to surprise her with a recipe he invented for eggplant meat, Dinescu is amazed to discover that his beautiful host stopped eating meat at the beginning of the year.

The poet quickly folds up and prepares a vegetarian dish with cheese “hidden” in baked peppers and grape leaves. And cooking in the kitchen is left with confessions, laughter and joy. Elena sincerely tells her guest about her Armenian origins, her family’s history and customs, but also how she broke the rule of marrying a Macedonian.

Good music, mouthwatering food, a beautiful and talented host, all this makes for the perfect recipe for a quiet Sunday afternoon! Mircea Dinescu and the “Politics and delicacies” show team put it into practice and serve it to us on Sunday 8 November, from 2.30 pm, on TVR 1.
