During the meeting, the Minister examined the position of the governorates of the first phase of the global health insurance system in terms of construction and development rates, increasing the efficiency of the infrastructure of hospitals, health units and medical centers that will operate within of the new system, as well as the family registration rate and completion of training plans for medical teams, in preparation for trial operation of the system. Successfully in the governorates (Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Aswan and Suez).

The minister stressed the rapid completion of the completion of the equipping of all medical facilities in the governorates of Luxor and Ismailia with electronic devices, including computers, tablets and customer service machines, and the completion of automation and electronic linkage between all. the units and hospitals in the two governorates, as well as the completion of the electronic registration of family drug archives, so that citizens receive the service fully. During system test operation.

The minister further indicated that the mechanization and digital transformation of the Global Health Insurance Authority ensures equal access for all citizens to medical services of the highest quality without obstacles in front of them, and stressed that all challenges must be overcome. to provide the information infrastructure necessary for the digital transformation of the new system.

The minister said the global health insurance system will continue to operate on schedule, especially in light of the state’s confrontation with the emerging coronavirus, as well as continuing training of the workforce working within the system during the pandemic. , in accordance with the control and quality standards of the global health insurance system.

During the meeting, the Minister underlined the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Military Production in the implementation of health projects, in particular of the global health insurance system, through contracts with companies that implement the digital transformation system project. and the mechanization of the system according to the protocol signed between each of the ministries (health, military production and communications) In the framework of the state plan for digital transformation, I thanked the Minister of State for military production for his full support for the implementation of the “mechanization” project with the highest quality in accordance with international standards and established deadlines.

For its part, Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production, thanked Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, for her efforts in implementing the global health insurance system, expressing his happiness in collaboration with the Ministry of Health for the success of this project which is taking place nationwide. Minister Morsi also said that all capabilities will be used for the successful implementation of comprehensive health insurance and for overcoming all the challenges facing the work of the new system.

Dr Khaled Al-Attar, Deputy Minister of Communications, further stressed that all needs related to the technological support of the system are met, noting that the comprehensive health insurance system database has been established in accordance with the latest global systems that ensure the security and complete confidentiality of data, as well as ensure that all data is correct for citizens and review them by the administrative supervisory authority.
