Microsoft releases build 20262 on the Insider Dev Channel

[ad_1]

A new build is coming to the Windows Insider Program Dev Channel. A small update that only fixes some of the current problems in Windows 10. More specifically, we are talking about FE_Release Build 20262, one of the multiple development branches they have within Microsoft right now, and I don’t know that it matches any specific version .

Fixes in build 20262

  • Fixed an issue that caused some applications to start unexpectedly transparent in recent builds, with no visible content.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the old SleepStudy etls from being cleaned unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in no response the first time a pencil was clicked after being paired due to an underlying crash.
  • Fixed trackpad scrolling no longer working on the focused tab after closing a browser tab with CTRL + W while scrolling a trackpad.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some blocking notifications from being located at first sight.
  • Found the problem that when using Narrator in scan mode, it was not possible to activate the “Login with pin or smart card” buttons in the authentication dialog using space or the Enter key.
  • Fixed a recent issue where when both Wi-Fi and cellular were connected, if the Wi-Fi disconnected, the network flyout indicated that the cellular was still connected, but the apps would not be able to use the Internet.
  • They fixed a high impact DWM bug that affected some insiders in the last few flights.
  • Found the issue that may cause settings to crash when browsing Storage Sense.
  • Fixed an issue that caused app registration issues for some of the apps integrated with the previous flight after the update.

Known bugs in build 20262

  • Microsoft is studying the long periods of time required to install a new build.
  • Microsoft is working to implement live preview of locked pages.
  • For now, the new page anchoring experience will only work with the new ones we add and not the ones we already have. If we don’t want to wait, we can remove it from edge: // apps and reinsert it.
  • They are looking into reports that some users are seeing error 0x80070426 when they use their Microsoft account to log into various applications. If you find it, restarting your PC can fix it.
  • Disks may not appear in Settings> System> Storage> Manage Disks and Volumes.
    • You can use the classic version of the disk management tool.
  • Some windows with a black background will display text with the same color if the dark theme is active.

Updates for developers

As with every build, we have a new Windows SDK in the development channel. Whenever a new OS build is created in the dev channel, the corresponding SDK will also be offered. You can always install the latest version of the Insider SDK from aka.ms/InsiderSDK. The SDK versions will be stored in Flight Hub along with the OS versions.
