Metro Exodus will be entitled to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions in 2021, it was officially announced by producer 4A Games in a message shared on the official website of the series.

We still don’t know the exact day that the new consoles will receive Exodus, however it has been revealed that these versions will include a frame rate faster, higher resolution, reduced load times and functionality ray tracing thanks to new hardware.

“The new consoles are incredible and will allow us to deliver visual and performance improvements only possible with the best PC hardware and RTX graphics cards – until now,” the official message reads.

All players who have purchased – or who will purchase – Exodus on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, both digitally and in physical format, will be entitled to receive these improved versions at no additional cost, is also confirmed in the communication.

Metro Exodus has been published since February 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and then arrives on the Luna and Stadia platforms. The analysis of the title of VideoGamer Portugal can be read at this address, where it is stated that “with Exodus the Metro series reaches a level that amplifies the events experienced during this stay”.

It’s not the first time 4A Games and the Metro series have made headlines this morning, as it has also been confirmed that the production house is developing new work in the series for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. While the focus remains on the narrative, there are also experiments to be done in an online multiplayer component.
