WeChat blocks multiple cryptographic accounts
WeChat, the Chinese social media platform developed by Tencent that boasts 1 billion users, has reported blocking several Blockchain and cryptocurrency accounts.
According to local news sources, a WeChat executive stated that some of the public accounts had been blocked due to suspicions of publishing ICO (Initial Coin Offerings) and cryptocurrency hyping trading. Both of these activities are in violation of the terms and conditions of the messaging service. Therefore, official orders were issued to permanently block these accounts and their contents.

United States Senate Ask about Blockchain and Cryptos
Members of the US Senate Committee of the Energy and Natural Resources Department have raised questions about the cost of crypto mining and the opportunities of Blockchain in the public sector during an audition. This audition, like others related to nascent technology, presented speakers from both the public and private sectors and served as an educational session for members of the Senate who were not familiar with Blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

DST Global denies investments in Pre-IPO of Bitmain

Previously it was reported that the investment firm had invested $ 400 million pre-IPO funds financed by the manufacturer of encrypted hardware. A managing partner of DST Global, John Lindfors, has officially confirmed that he has never invested in Bitmain.
This news follows another important industry, Uber's biggest investor, Softbank, who had never invested in Bitmain. On 18 August, a company spokesperson issued an official statement that neither SoftBank Group Corp. nor the SoftBank Vision Fund had invested in the IPO of the giant of encrypted hardware production.
