Fernández had decreed three days of national mourning for the death of the Argentine star.

The only veiled athlete at Casa Rosada was five-time Formula 1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio, in July 1995.

Maradona died this Wednesday at his residence in the province of Buenos Aires.

Alberto Fernández confirmed: “When I thought of opening the Government House for Diego it was because he came out of these balconies with the Cup and greeted the 1990 World Cup and the truth is that I want all Argentines who want to fire him to be able to do so. Diego deserves it ”.

“We have to see how to organize it because we are in a pandemic, but we will do it in an airy place in the Government Palace”, he concluded.
