At the end of October, the capital received a batch of 56,460 doses of the vaccine, through a partnership with the Butantan Institute, which allowed the vaccination to be extended to the general population.
According to the Municipal Health Secretariat, this is not a second dose of the flu shot, but a new opportunity for those who have not yet been vaccinated.
The available vaccine is the trivalent vaccine, which protects against influenza A (H1N1), influenza B, and influenza A (H3N2) viruses, targeting all people aged six months or older.
In addition to the flu immunization, this Saturday, the Secretariat of Health offers vaccines against polio, aimed at children aged 1 to 4, e against measles, for people aged between 20 and 49.
When going to a vaccination place, the population should preferably present the SUS card, the vaccination card and a photo ID.
