A race against time for the LVBP began last Friday when the MLB approved the running of the 2020-2021 competition. The organizational work of the teams has undergone a notable acceleration and from this Monday there is already a path outlined. The play ball voice will be sung on November 27th.

The current champion Cardenales de Lara will receive the Águilas del Zulia at the Antonio Herrera Gutiérrez de Barquisimeto at 16:00 to officially inaugurate the competition and at the same time the Western Division completed by Navegantes del Magallanes and Tigres de Aragua.

The Eastern Division, made up of Caribes de Anzoátegui, Bravos de Margarita, Tiburones de La Guaira and Leones del Caracas, will take the field the following day, November 28th.

As anticipated in Leader, each ninth will play 40 games in a bubble format that will be adapted in the squares of Barquisimeto, Valencia, Maracay and Caracas. The La Guaira Forum will therefore be an alternative venue which could receive some commitments.

There will be Caracas-Magallanes

Although Leones del Caracas and Navegantes del Magallanes are in different divisions, the calendar includes interdivisional clashes and therefore there will be no lack of commitments between the eternal rivals.

PCR protected

As Palmisano explained on the radio show Tiempo Extra, the Venezuelan state has already facilitated PCR tests.

“We are following the biosecurity protocol imposed by MLB. We guaranteed the PCR tests, the results will be delivered 24-48 hours after the analysis is performed, ”he said.
