Lucas Digne, Seamus Coleman: Everton injury list and return dates before Burnley

[ad_1]

Everton are hoping for better luck with injuries on their return from the international break.

After a good start to the season, the Toffees’ momentum was held back by a series of defeats.

Carlo Ancelotti’s task in those games was not helped by a series of injuries to key players of the first team.

Here’s a rundown of the Toffees’ fitness states before the match against Burnley.

Lucas Digne

Everton left-back Lucas Digne was sidelined with ankle ligament injury in late November.

The French international is expected to be sidelined for around two months after undergoing surgery on the matter.

Digne has meanwhile kept fit.

Seamus Coleman

Everton captain Seamus Coleman has missed out on trips to Southampton and Newcastle with a hamstring injury but returned in time to face Manchester United before the international break.

Yet the defender suffered a recurrence of the injury while on duty with Ireland.

He has since lost matches to Fulham and Leeds.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin

The signing of summer 2019 has stepped up his comeback after enduring the misfortune of injuries since his move from Mainz over 12 months ago.

Gbamin is expected to start working with the Everton team right after he starts racing again.

The 24-year-old had only played 135 minutes of action when he was injured in training in August.

He had just returned after suffering a further setback in February after undergoing right quadriceps tendon surgery.

Cruel luck struck again when Gbamin suffered an Achilles tendon injury in training.
