In light of the increase in the number of new infections with the new Corona virus after the onset of winter and Egypt’s upcoming exposure to a second wave of the virus that is active in cold temperatures, and parental fear of their parents children from infection in light of the government’s repeated claims on continuing the educational process for the current school year, the Ministry of Health and Population announced On Sunday it announced the plan to close schools in the event of an increase in Corona cases among students.
The ministry explained that the closure plan it has established includes the decision by the health and education departments to close the classroom for 28 days in case more than one confirmed infection is discovered in the same class within two weeks, while the school it is completely closed in the event that more than one class is closed for a period of 28 days and a school complex is closed. For a period of 28 days if a school as a whole is closed, indicating the closure of multiple classes, while the schools in the governorate are closed for a period of not less than 28 days, on the recommendation of the Crisis Management Committee, if the matter worsens, and this decision is implemented by the provincial office.
It is reported that the Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all governorates of the Republic and to follow the situation firsthand on “Covid 19”, and is taking all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases, and the Ministry has assigned a range of media to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging Corona virus and diseases.
