Lachlan Spark left social media after posting several personal messages criticizing his ex-wife Lauren Phillips for being selfish during their brief marriage.
The despised former lashed out at Phillips, a respected Channel Nine TV reporter, multiple times last week, exposing her lifestyle and revealing that he suggested she ‘lose weight’ to help make the marriage work.
He last commented on the pitfalls of their marriage just two days ago, but on Sunday he admitted he regretted talking about Phillips and “letting his ego get in the way.”
“It was incredibly naive and stupid of me to say anything about my experience,” he told the Herald Sun.

In fierce appraisal of her marriage, she accused Lauren of “caring more about herself” during their relationship.

On Sunday he said: ‘I’ve been very careful not to speak badly of Lauren since we broke up because despite what we’ve been through, she is a good person.
“I foolishly let my emotions and ego hinder my better judgment.”
Spark, who runs her creative agency, went on to admit she suggested Phillips “lose weight” in a subsequent interview.
He said it wasn’t so much a list of requests as it was a “change picture” in which he asked his 39-year-old partner to be more active.
Sunday said: ‘I’ve been very careful not to speak badly of Lauren since we broke up because despite what we’ve been through, she is a good person.
“I said some changes needed to be made to work,” the Antarctic marathon runner told the publication, before retorting by stating that he had never asked her to “lose weight”.
“Help out around the house, lift a little, I told her, and I’m sorry I framed it like I did, but I said I’m more attracted to people when they’re active because I’m an active person.
‘I could have been around for 20 years, but it would have been on Lauren’s terms. His condition is fine if you are happy with that lifestyle, “he added.

Meanwhile, Sparks revealed that he met Wynbergen out of “sheer luck”.
“I met this girl and my world has changed,” he wrote online when he debuted in their relationship.
He went on to call Wynbergen a “fighter”, “loyal” and “absolutely gorgeous”, then added, “She knows how to love me like I’ve never been loved before … I love you.”
