The couple first starred together in the 1987 comedy “Overboard” was in “The Christmas Chronicles” released two years ago, where Hawn had a brief appearance.

Now, in “The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two,” director Chris Columbus has given the 75-year-old actress a complete soundtrack on November 21.

Mrs. Claus is a central character alongside Mr. Claus, played by Kurt Russell, who she says in an interview published by the New York Times that he is “an up-to-date Santa, who is a little sexy”. They help two children foil the schemes of a character from the North Pole who wants to cancel Christmas.

“It’s not mandatory, just because you live with someone, love someone and you like to work together, make ten or twenty movies with them,” Russell, 69, said in an interview.

Regarding Hawn’s role in the new film, he explained: “In the first film, Mrs. Claus became kind of Columbus’s wife. The funny thing is, she’s a mysterious character. She’s not just a beautiful lady making cakes.”

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell met in 1966, on the set, but began a relationship in 1983, while filming “Swing Shift”. They never married and raised actors Kate and Oliver Hudson, Hawn’s children from their marriage to Bill Hudson.

They also have a son together, actor Wyatt Russell, and Kurt Russell has another son, Wood Russell, from a previous marriage.
