Hollywood star Jamie Foxx mourns her sister who died at the age of 36. “My heart broke into a million pieces,” the 52-year-old wrote on Monday (local time) on Instagram. He described his sister DeOndra Dixon, who had Down syndrome, as “bright light”. He loved to dance and used every opportunity to be on the dance floor.
“Even though the pain is incredible, I smile when I think of all the good memories he left me,” the actor wrote. He also posted several photos together. Foxx did not provide any information on the cause of death.
Dixon was at times an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. The Foundation for People with the Gene Defect recalled the Oscar winner’s younger sister, born in Texas in 1984, in an obituary Monday. She graduated from high school and later moved to California, where she lived with other members of the Foxx family, according to People magazine.
