Both Bülent Ceylan and Ruth Moschner committed to their final tip – and they’re right: they unmask the red lobster in “The Masked Singer” as moderator Jochen Schropp. When the 41-year-old takes off his costume, he apologizes first.
In the second live show of “The Masked Singer” ten singers started wearing elaborate costumes after Veronica Ferres was revealed as a bee in the opening episode. The advisory team with Bülent Ceylan, Sonja Zietlow and host Ruth Moschner threw all kinds of celebrity names into the room in the second round of the ProSieben show. Eventually, the lobster had to drop the mask. Who was behind it?
First the lobster hit the stage. “I think he wants to hide his Swiss accent, I suspect DJ Bobo,” was Zietlow’s first suggestion. Moschner thought he recognized Massimo Sinato for his “well trained thighs”. Ceylan could have imagined Jochen Schropp or HP Baxxter. The hippo then charmed the team of fortune-tellers with “Purple Rain”. Zietlow suspected the dancer with a deep voice was a professional singer and cast the musician Haddaway into the group. Citizen Lars Dietrich or Nelson Müller, Ceylan said. Moschner wanted Sasha under the costume. The hippo won the first duel.
Fischer and Silbereisen with you?
The combative Anubis brought the Welshly Arms “Legendary” to the stage. Ceylan guessed Elyas M’Barek or Kostja Ullmann for the warrior. Moschner could have imagined Oli P. or Ben. Zietlow would like Nino de Angelo. The alpaca, this time in a sparkly jogging suit, performed “Hot Stuff” and “got better with it,” said Zietlow, who suspected Tanja Szewczenko was in the fur costume. Other suggestions from the consulting team were Sylvie Meis and Bonnie Strange. The Anubis made their way into the next round in the duel.
In a three-way battle, the meerkat pair performed together again. Following their appearance in Aladdin’s “A Whole New World”, Moschner gave bold advice in the form of former successful couple Florian Silbereisen and Helene Fischer. Ceylan saw Daniela Katzenberger and Lucas Cordalis dressed as a couple. The crazy frog then enjoyed a scooter performance, when the names Fabian Hambüchen and Sven Hannawald were mentioned. The cat also presented a challenge for the riddle team: this time, Katharina Thalbach and Vicky Leandros were named as favorites. Eventually the frog had to shake to get into the next round.
The last duel was the alien and the skeleton. Celebs guessed right suspected Farin Urlaub or Luke Mockridge under the huge fur costume with horn ears. The powerful-voiced skeleton convinced with Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. It could be Helene Fischer, Ceylan said, who wanted to recognize her by perfume. The lady got to the next shift with ease. Eventually the lobster, alpaca, frog and alien had to tremble. The Scissor Man received the fewest votes – celebrity advisors picked Jochen Schropp as their favorite – and the presenter was actually in costume.
